Privacy Policy

How we handle your information on the SkilledUp Life marketing website. The short version: we keep it to an absolute minimum.

Last updated 7 June 2026 Applies to skilledup.life Controller SkilledUp Life Ltd
!

This policy covers the marketing website only. When you create an account and use the SkilledUp Life platform at app.skilledup.life, a separate privacy policy applies to the personal data processed there (profiles, Opportunities, applications and so on).

01Who we are

This website at skilledup.life (and wordpress.skilledup.life) is operated by SkilledUp Life Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 13537786), with its registered office at MyHQ at Bridgeway House, Mellor Road, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, England, SK8 5AU. For the limited personal data described below, SkilledUp Life Ltd is the "data controller".

This policy explains what we do with personal data in connection with this marketing website, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

02The short version

0

This website stores no personal data

We don't run accounts, logins or databases of visitors here. If you fill in our contact form, your message is emailed to our team so we can reply — it isn't stored on the website. Beyond that, we use privacy-respecting analytics and standard security logging to keep the site running.

That's the essence of it. The rest of this page sets out the detail required by law.

03What we collect

On this marketing website, the only personal data involved is:

InformationWhat it is & where it goes
Contact-form detailsYour name, email address and the message you choose to send us. This is emailed directly to our team and is not stored on the website. We only use it to respond to you.
Analytics dataPages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you arrived — collected via Google Analytics using cookies. This is aggregated and used to understand and improve the site.
Technical / security logsStandard server information such as IP address, request time and browser agent, processed by our hosting and content-delivery providers (e.g. Cloudflare and AWS) to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.

We do not ask for, or collect, sensitive personal data on this website, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

04How we use it

We use the limited information above only to:

  • Respond to you when you contact us through the website;
  • Understand and improve how the website performs, using aggregated analytics;
  • Keep the website secure and available, and prevent fraud, spam and abuse.

We will never use contact-form details to add you to marketing lists without your clear consent.

06Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. The only third parties involved on this website are the service providers that help us run it:

  • Google Analytics (Google) — website analytics;
  • Hosting & content-delivery providers (e.g. Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services) — to serve and protect the website;
  • Our email provider — which carries the messages you send through the contact form to our inbox.

These providers act as our processors (or, for their own analytics purposes, as separate controllers) and are bound to handle data appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

07International transfers

Some of our providers (such as Google and AWS) may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision — to keep your data protected to UK standards.

08How long we keep it

Because the website itself stores nothing, retention is straightforward:

  • Contact-form emails stay in our email system for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our reasonable records, after which they're deleted.
  • Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (typically up to 14 months) in aggregated form.
  • Security logs are kept only for the short periods our hosting/CDN providers retain them.

09Your rights

In short

You can ask to see, correct or delete the contact details you've sent us — just email [email protected].

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
  • access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected, or incomplete data completed;
  • have your data erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including profiling and direct marketing;
  • data portability for data you've provided to us;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We'll respond within one month. There's normally no charge.

10Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies, including analytics cookies that run only with your consent. For the full list, what each one does and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

11Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and the security features of our hosting and CDN providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

12Children

This website is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our providers or the law. The current version is always the one published here, and the "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
